Cool Tool: Article Video Robot
Firstly, before I start sharing my experiences with Article Video Robot so far, please pause the 3rd video down otherwise it will start automatically.
Secondly, apologies if this is deja vu for some of you. I have also added these videos to my audio marketing blog. As you may have discovered about me by now, I LOVE to leverage content and Article Video Robot is a perfect tool to feature there and in our Cool Tools series.
And that’s what this tool is all about – leverage.
Oh, and accessibility.
Recently, I have been recording some of our blog posts on the SWBN blog so that we can offer an audio version of the articles as well (for those who prefer or require audio over reading). AVR is a way to then take those recordings and use them in a completely different way (of the 3 voiceover options Article Video Robot offers, I definitely prefer uploading my own pre-recorded voiceovers – for both quality and style).
Video marketing is a powerful tool and this is one of the easiest ways to create dynamic videos that I have found so far:
The second video shows me completing converting the article to video and choosing stock music, background, and adding video details.
You can view the video I created while making these videos on my audio marketing blog, but this is the very first video I created using Article Video Robot:
I put this on the blog using the embed code they provide (the free trial version does not allow you to upload to Youtube or download as mp4). I think this may be the reason it is a bit hit-or-miss when you play it. I suggest you hover the cursor around the play bar while it runs, as this seems to help it play properly.
As you can see, there are a few minor things that need working on – for example, a couple of the photos are out of focus/not the right size. The timing of the headlines doesn’t always work well, but this is pretty much out of your control and is not a major issue in the scheme of things.
Once you have created a few videos the whole process should take you a matter of minutes.

This is really interesting Lisa. I like the concept and do believe using it to bring one’s articles “to life” will give you more exposure, more weight and more authority.
Have you moved on to the full version? I’m wondering if the problems with the photos are limited to the free trial version. While that does not ruin the video, it is rather annoying.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I am at least going to try the free version for 14 days.

I haven’t signed up for the full service yet, although I definitely plan to (on my long “to do” list. Even as someone who is perfectly capable of making my own videos, this reduces the time to make them considerably.
In terms of photos, I’m not sure. It is probably just a matter of trial and error, although hopefully Article Video Robot will work to standardize sizes of photos and offer some advice in that area to their customers.
All in all, I love this service.
