Welcome back to Photo Friday! This is the second week in our series where we pick a specific subject to photograph and post our pictures on the blog.
Last week we featured our workspaces, the real-world ones. Today it’s all about your “virtual” workspace, your computer desktop. Let’s see if your desktops are as messy (or tidy) as your office spaces!

Thanks for sharing Lena. What amazing pictures. Where were they taken?
Isn’t it funny how we keep our virtual desktops a lot less cluttered and disorganised than our real life ones!

Hi Lisa,
Thanks! I wish I could take credit for them, but neither of those are mine. The desktop photo is of Rice Lake, Ontario and I found that one while browsing Flickr one day.
The laptop photo came from a site that gives away free desktops that my son found for me. I’m not sure where it is, but it makes me feel all calm and peaceful every time I look at it so it stays.
They’re definitely the most uncluttered space in my office right now.

Oh my, my desktop looks really cluttered. Never really thought about it that way until I see how clean & neat you all are!

Makes me wonder just what all those icons are for…

Mine may “appear” neat but there is a folder there called “desktopjan2009″ where I chucked a couple of hundred icons in

The trick is to click the button that lets you hide the icons. If I left them out in the open, the whole thing would be covered.
