Photo Friday: My Car

29 May 2009 by Lisa 761 views 4 Comments

This week’s Photo Friday gives you the chance to check out our wheels. Of course, being Internet Marketers we should have a fleet of Lambos, GTXs and Ferraris each, with 20 inch rims and custom sound systems (do I sound like I know what I’m talking about?), but the reality is a little different.

Lisa’s Lively Run Around

So this is my Aston Martin…

Only kidding. I am not too fussy about my cars but if I was to own my dream car, this would be it.

However, my Skoda comes a close 2nd ;-)

lisa-hartwell-carA reliable, economical car that from this distance looks a lot cleaner than it is (silver is a great color for this).

Allison’s Alacritous Auto

I was going to gho out and take a picture, but in the house moving I found a CD of the pictures we took when we drove across the country and back. Here’s the “Mighty Magna” resting before we flogged her across the Nullabor.

Wahey!

Barb’s Bitchin’ Ride

Well, she was a Mazda 323 nicknamed “Tomato” by an old friend, I guess because she was red. She gave me 20 years of faithful service and was finally put to rest about six weeks ago. I do have another car now, a blue Mazda 323, but I thought the “Tomato” deserved the spotlight here…*sniff*

    Lisa,
I saw you stalking me. If you would have ask I would have posed for a picture with my Aston Martin. By the way his nickname is Willie.

    Willie the Aston Martin? Hmmmm.

I have actually driven this Aston Martin (and others) on the test tracks at Millbrook. Was an incredible day and a bit of a shock when I got back in the Skoda and tried to take a corner at 60mph!

I’ve owned some pretty Cool cars in my day, everything from a 1972 Chevelle SS Muscle car, MG Midget, Camaro, a sporty SUV and even a “yuppy’s” dream BMW 328i.

However, I’ve never grieved more over the loss of a car then when my 1995 Chevy Lumina Van recently coughed and died after almost 200,000 miles of service.

    *sniff* I still miss her.

Had me envious when I opened the post Lisa ~ lol! I myself am driving a lovely little red 1992 Miata. I see I’m in good company with a little red car ;-)
