Allison’s Favourite Body Part
Being offline for a bit I am not sure whether we are supposed to be talking about our own body part… or body parts in general. So I will take the fence sitters’ position and do both!
I have decorated my body in various ways over the years. I did always have this worry about getting a tattoo because I could imagine ahead to being an old lady and the grand kiddies asking what the blurry picture was on a wrinkly bit. I bit the bullet though because the picture means a lot to me and as far as I know, this bit of my body will not wrinkle *fingers crossed*
In general my favourite body part is the brain. I love brains. The more I find out about brains the more fascinating I find them. The fact that in my lifetime we have discovered that the brain, so long thought to be a finite and fixed entity, is now known to be a growing and changing organ that can be molded and improved. When the old fashioned thinking is finally flushed from society we should see less of the ” I can’t change” type of thinking, and more positive responsibility taken by people in regards to behaviour.
Here’s an MRI of my brain (to prove I really do have one!)

Barb’s Favourite Body Part
The eyes have it! I love eyes…I do believe they are the window to the soul. Like snowflakes, no two eyes are the same. They express thoughts, feelings, intentions. And then there’s the best part of all…eye contact
Lisa’s Favourite Body Part
Barb has beaten me to it. My favourite body part (on myself) is my eyes (because of what she said):
They are also ONE of my favourite parts of other people. They say so much. You’ll have to ask nicely for me to reveal my other favourites

My first response is the eyes also, but I am intriqued by Allsion’s choice of the brain.
btw Allison, I had to stop the video…the sound of the tatoo gun was very unsettling
How could you stand it right up close to your ears?

Thanks for the comment CC
Every time I meet someone who has cottoned onto the unlimited potential of their own brain I get so excited. It’s like talking to someone who has also found the key to the secret treasure between your ears. My reading recently has revolved a lot around cognitive and neurological sbjects.
The sound of the tattoo gun didn’t really bother me to be honest; the sensation is more in the forefront of your mind (think annoying hot needles).

I agree with all three of you because I have special background knowledge that lets me know that the eyes are just purely an extension of the brain – both figuratively and literally.
As an optomterist who stares at eyes all day I see the outer beauty and can’t help but fall in love with the sparkle in some – as a clinical scientist you cannot help but be impressed by the proceesing power and perceptual ability of the eye/brain interactions!
Sorry for waxing lyrical girls but it’s a topic I love
