SWBN Podcast #009: Brent Hodgson of Market Samurai

In this week’s podcast you can hear the first part of my interview with Brent Hodgson from Noble Samurai, the team behind the keyword and market research tool – Market Samurai. We have been using Market Samurai since it began Beta testing early last year and have seen it develop from a good tool into a GREAT must-have tool for anyone wanting to research markets online.

However, this interview isn’t really about Market Samurai per se. As a result of using the software we have had the opportunity to “chat” (virtually, via Twitter and email) with Brent about a wide number of topics and were keen to interview him.

We (I?) run the risk of being accused of having a predilection for male Australian marketers, but this is simply the way the “cookie crumbles”! We do have a number of female marketers lined up for interview, as we know many of you want to hear from women that are running successful online businesses, but it just seems to have worked out that the male Aussies come first!

In the first part of my interview, Brent talks about the fundamentals of creating a good online business, his 3 Golden Rules for online marketing success and how he feels about the big promises made by many marketers (can you really make a lot of money very quickly online?).
