SWBN Releases the Ladybug Sales Letter

31 March 2009 by Allison 1,655 views 14 Comments

Barb, Lisa and I are proud to announce the launch of our flagship product, something that has been proven to be an absolute game-changer in our marketing businesses.Ladybug Sales letter

This letter has been tested by ALL of the big names in the internet marketing sphere and has been proven to be 100% successful in convincing our clients we are the BEST people for them.

Most internet marketing products have some cute story about how they came about. We’ve all read the pages of how the miracle product was drawn on the back of a napkin, or conjured up with only 30 minutes to go before a major launch, or discovered while traveling first class to an island where copious amounts of flowing alcohol were consumed etc etc. Well ours has a story too, and it goes something like this…

I was pushing a trolley round the market. You know those trolleys, the ones with one wheel deciding to go its own way, just like a teenage child. The pushing and correcting direction was aggravating; so much so that I began muttering swear words under my breath. I am sure I was drawing stares from my fellow shoppers because my muttering was getting louder and my angry jerking was becoming almost frenzied.

Still I pushed on, I mean that is what you do, don’t you?

Like your day-job, you persist even though it it slowly driving you insane. You slowly lose touch with why you do it, because in the end whatever made it fun has gone, and all that is left are the minutes between you and death…  and they are being used up by some stupid task that you are sure could should be done by someone else.

That’s when to top it off, like some huge cherry on the Poop-Cake’s icing, a baby starts screaming, or a nasal announcement over the loudspeakers asking for a price check on a personal item, or music chosen to speed your shopping up by assaulting your ears with discordant jangling interspersed with spoken advertisements about how urine stains can be removed from your carpet (or maybe all of the above) click together to absolutely PROVE to you that YOU are in the wrong place doing the wrong thing!

So yes, that is what happened and so I marched, with my wildly lurching trolley, back to the queue where 10 minutes before I was wrestling like a member of the WWE in a cage fight (I am too old now for that T&A action) to uncouple the trolley from whatever mating position it had engaged in.

With a dramatic HEAVE I pushed the trolley back to whence it came. It was at this point the wheel decided to be a little less stubborn in its choice of direction, and straighten up.

What should have ended with the trolley grinding to a halt just as it reached its fellows ….ended in a spectacular and LOUD collision that drew the eyes of everyone in the store. I went from feeling like the Queen of the World because of my defiance, to about 2 inches tall. I cast my eyes down in embarrassment and that’s when I spied a handwritten note jamming that annoying wheel.  A note that went on to be THE Ladybug Sales Letter.

Sure it took many hundreds of hours of tweaking and testing.  I even spent a month in the USA learning from one of the big names of copy writing (the dude with the religious initials, you know the one!) and spent a wad of cash keeping him in beer and cupcakes.

It was worth it though. I promise you it was worth it! If you are one of the lucky ones who manages to download the letter we would LOVE to hear how you use it in your business, genuine testimonials are always most welcome.

Please…PLEASE do not share the contents of your good fortune and the letter with others as the SWBN will be including it as a bonus to those who do not read the blog. For the mean time let’s keep it our little secret…..  : -) ladybug
