We’re Making a Few Changes at the SWBN
Like all businesses (and individuals) should from time to time, we have been re-evaluating our goals, plans and aims here at the Secret Women’s Business Network and seeing if they still hold true and whether we needed to adjust our course or make changes.
Allison, Barb and I started the SWBN less than 10 months ago and our goals still remain the same:
- To teach good solid business foundations (not just strategies).
- To enable women to discover their greatest skills and talents and use them within their businesses
- To encourage masterminding and collaboration on all levels and offer tools and tips on how to achieve this
However, we’ve realised that the delivery of these goals may need to change slightly.
Our original plan was to create a membership site and we actually have the framework, several months of training and the forums in place (we’ve even beta tested it). But, our personal circumstances have been in flux this year and we wouldn’t be comfortable launching a membership site until we felt we could give it the time and energy it deserves. We’ve all been members of programs where promises have not been kept, training has been late and contact with the principals has been minimal (or non-existent). We only want to offer you the very best!
So, while a membership site is still within our future plans, this has been put on hold for a while and we have agreed on new ways of delivering our goals.
The blog – which was originally designed to be the public “face” of the SWBN – will be expanded further and is the place to watch for other developments we have in the pipeline (of course, if you’re on our mailing list you’ll hear it first and get the best offers). This includes plans to work with a small group of women in a mastermind/mentoring capacity after this year’s Thirty Day Challenge (more details to come, so watch this space).
We continue to be excited and committed to the many plans we have in development (for you) as the SWBN continues to strive towards helping women start and build their businesses.
Thanks for your continuing support.

Hi Ladies,
I support your decision to re-evaluate and revise your time line, because you explain it’s because “our personal circumstances have been in flux this year.” I don’t mean to be sexist, but many women entrepreneurs are in the same boat (that includes me). It’s OK to honor your off line lives, and to find the balance between them and the on line world we live in. I’m struggling with that, too, at the moment. I will be here to support you in your journey.

Thanks for your support Linda.
I agree. Many women start their own businesses in order to accommodate a desire to be with their children or to care for a family member. While it is important for both men and women to evaluate their business goals and how they implement them, I think women are more likely to factor in their personal circumstances. In our cases it has been less to do with family and more to do with health issues, along with our work/home lives being in a state of flux.
We look forward to sharing our future plans with you all
